So let me explain.
Our endocrine system is linked to our nervous system.
Our Endocrine system is the part of our bodies that releases our hormones.
Inside our brains sits a part called The Hypothalamus which is the portion of the brain that maintains the body’s internal balance.
The brain is the control center of your body and your mind.
Right in the middle of your brain is your Hypothalamus which controls much of your everyday functioning.
It is also responsible for the release of our hormones.
The Hypothalamus regulates body temperature, hunger, thirst, sleep, emotions, the immune system, your libido, and your hormones.
It also regulates the autonomic nervous system.
By scanning the brains of people whilst in a hypnotic trance, meditation or mind mediation, scientists were able to see neural changes in the brain and in particular the activation of the hypothalamus.
As a therapist, I work with your subconscious mind through Mind MeDiation and hypnotherapy. During the process, I directly activate your Hypothalamus, which is the first part of your brain that also gets activated by external events.
You see, your brain is extremely powerful and the smallest interferences will affect your brain, triggering certain hormones to be released into your system which then follows with a whole range of actions and physical symptoms.
Think about it this way:
Someone hugs you and oxytocin is released making you feel loved
You have an orgasm and oxytocin and serotonin are released making you feel loved and happy.
You are being rewarded or thanked at work and dopamine is released making you feel pleasure and relaxed.
When you exercise endorphins are released lifting your mood and making you feel good.
Every single action you do has a profound effect on your Hypothalamus, which signals the endocrine system to release hormones.
If you have repetitive actions, you’ll get repetitive releases of hormones, until those triggers or hormones becomes out of whack. The brain can’t regulate the release of your hormones anymore and just fires them out as and when or too much or too little. This ultimately causes havoc on your entire system.
In turn, these out of whack hormones starts causing other hormones to go out of whack as well, which then causes more physical, unwanted symptoms.
This is why it is so important to work with the root cause of your symptoms instead of just treating the individual symptoms and that is where I come in with Hypnotherapy and Mind MeDiation and work directly with your Hypothalamus – the part of the brain that gets triggered
