I help anxious people to manage their anxiety, get unstuck, and take back control. Anxiety Therapy & Hypnotherapy can be of great help especially if treated early on.
Anxiety is a terrible feeling that can be debilitating and it stems back to the way we have evolved. The fight or flight, our old survival mechanism, has gone into overdrive. The release of adrenaline, cortisol, and noradrenaline in response to a perceived threat triggers your anxiety. This response is intended to motivate us to take action, either by fleeing or battling the threat.
This may have been fine for physical threats like bears and lions, but in today’s it’s all of a subconscious reaction to perceived emotional threats. Anxiety sometimes leads to a fear of anxiety, a fear of a fear that feeds itself, making you nervous or anxious about being anxious and potentially resulting in a panic attack. You feed your anxiety as soon as you try to control it. Anxiety can wreak havoc on your life if your mind is in a constant state of concern – anxiety may begin to intensify rather than improve over time.
Your anxiety makes you fear just about anything and you catastrophize – always thinking of the worst possible outcome and it’s such a frightening experience.
If you suffer from anxiety, you may perhaps believe there is no way out, and that your mind is constantly focused on being afraid for no apparent cause.
Feeling anxious is inevitable in our daily lives but can be a constant battle for some. However, with the correct coping skills, new ideas, and opening your eyes and mind to new ways, you can learn how to manage your stress and anxiety on a daily basis and even diminish some of it!
Start by identifying your stressors. Often times we don’t quite know how, but that’s why you have me, to teach you how to do this.
