PTSD Treatment Therapy
Hypnotherapy is a solution-focused approach that utilises a person’s conscious and unconscious minds to induce emotional and behavioural change. It has been found to be beneficial in the treatment of problems like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Many people are subjected to trauma at some point in their lives, and strong reactions to trauma can contribute to post-traumatic reactions (such as PTSD). Witnessing atrocities, such as war, as well as sexual assault, cruelty, or physical or emotional abuse in family settings and other relationships, may cause trauma.
Trauma is the product of not just what happened to us, but also how we interpret what happened to us and the negative feelings that follow. We can withdraw from relationships, struggle with addictions, eat in unhealthy ways, or suffer from anxiety, irritability, depression, insomnia, and/or low self-worth as a result of these negative emotions.
To help my clients minimise the effects and symptoms of trauma, I use a combination of Hypnotherapy, Mind Meditation, and EMDR.
